A useful collection saves you time only when you can find the right object, understand its license and bring its dependencies into your project. This guide explains what our catalog verifies and what you still need to test.
Source coverage
The current snapshot indexes 2,576 NVIDIA SimReady packages, 2,927 ambientCG resources and 2,387 Poly Haven resources. These counts describe the public inventories checked on October 27, 2026, not the entire internet. NVIDIA file lists total 472,377,196,914 bytes; that is a package-file total, not unique compressed storage or a claim that every model has been downloaded.
For every NVIDIA package we read the manifest and license text, then checked the bill of materials against the checksum declared in the manifest. All 2,576 inspected packages declare CC BY 4.0. For ambientCG and Poly Haven we checked the publishers’ CC0 statements and captured official API metadata. Those two inventories have not had individual binary files or package checksums inspected.
Search
Choose a task before choosing a model. A warehouse scene needs containers, pallets and shelves; a kitchen scene needs utensils, food and surfaces. Use category, publisher, format and commercial-permission filters together. Categories derived from filenames are discovery hints. Search results and metadata matches do not establish that an object can be grasped successfully by a robot.
Download a complete source package. A top-level USD file can reference textures, materials and physics payloads in other folders. Moving only that file may leave broken references. A format listed in the catalog reflects observed package files or download options. An empty format list means not inspected, not that the publisher offers no compatible file.
Runtime not tested
Before robotics work, check units, mass, collision geometry, friction, articulation and behavior in your target simulator. For synthetic images, inspect camera settings, semantic labels, segmentation and exported annotations. For a web scene, test conversion, materials, rendering cost and mobile performance. We have not performed these runtime validations on the indexed collection.
License
CC BY 4.0 permits commercial reuse with attribution, a license link and modification notices; the underlying asset does not become your exclusive property. CC0 assets generally have no attribution requirement, while a live API can have separate service terms. Poly Haven requires an identifiable API client and visible source credit. Other rights, including trademarks, may still apply.

The selections below are examples chosen from the verified NVIDIA inventory for distinct scene-building roles. Their names are original publisher identifiers. The examples are not quality rankings, physics benchmarks or claims of platform compatibility. Open a detail record to inspect the pinned revision, package file count, size and license evidence before downloading.

New source releases enter a review queue. We keep editorial updates separate from the appearance of a new upstream file, so a refresh is not an automatic endorsement.
